Alexandra is a Nicaraguan-Canadian actor based in Toronto. With nearly two decades of training and collaboration from esteemed institutions such as The Stratford Festival, Sheridan College, Theatre Movement Bazaar, Second City Hollywood and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, she brings a dynamic, cross-cultural perspective to her craft. She graduated Magne Cum Laude from the Los Angeles Theatre Academy. A rigorous, conservatory program that has a history dating to 1929 & such noted alumni as Morgan Freeman, Clint Eastwood, & Mark Hamill. Alexandra’s work spans from physical and classical theatre to original creations, earning her multiple awards & nominations. Her versatile performances & commitment to learning across borders make her a unique force in the acting world.

While her journey as a creative artist began directing classical theatre, specifically Shakespeare. Alexandra’s time at the Los Angeles Theatre Academy was uniquely shaped by a curriculum that emphasized both writing and performing. This allowed her to develop a multifaceted approach to directing and choreography, and her work has earned her multiple local LA awards. Alexandra’s foundation in performance and language drew her to creating new & original works. Known for her avant-garde style and bold use of movement and mixed media, Alexandra’s directing work often explores abstract and non-linear texts. Her passion for ensemble work and her ability to challenge traditional storytelling have made her a distinct voice in the theatre community. Currently, she is developing her new play, The Women Who Sold Their Skin and is an Artist in Residence with First Born Theatre.
